Once Again
Once again the pain is back,
and it’s ripping at the heart.
How can thoughts become so black?
An entire life, they'll tear apart.
Once again a loved one is hurt
because there's a pain buried deep, beneath a surface that’s been set aside:
buried in a crumbling soul of dirt.
A soul that once thrived before it could no longer hide from the mind and died.
Once again, left thinking about this life's crater.
Just need to last a little longer with no breath.
Drowning in regret due to a crooked razor--
one that brings thoughts no better than death.
Whether the bleeding is on the inside or the outside, it’s all the same.
All it ever does is add to this stupid world of shame.
