Maybe
Maybe I love you,
but perhaps I don't.
I always tell the truth,
and expect that you won't.
Maybe I cry some,
But I want to smile.
You'd never know though,
Unless you would try
You might have hurt me,
but my life prevails.
Only left a memory
of forgotten tales.
Forgotten and lonely
your pain or my own,
My thoughts lay empty
My voice now a drone
I might be broken,
but perhaps I'm whole
My pain a token
of my heart, my soul.
Maybe you have regrets,
as I also hold
But our history
remains forgotten
Truths left untold
But remembered by
Our own walls of stone,
Around hearts, and minds.
I forgive you yes,
And hope you'll do the same,
My thoughts were a mess,
You were never to blame.
