What if THIS is it?

What if this is as good as it’s gonna get;
I should scoop up this chance.
Maybe THIS is my fairytale.
Maybe we WILL live happily ever after.
Maybe life WON’T tear us apart.
Maybe we ARE niave and it’s NOT such a bad thing.
Maybe we DO love each other.
MAYBE that’s enough.
But still, here we sit,
As I get a reiteration of the
“Don’t get too attached; you’re only in high school” speech.
